Job description:

The IT Technician performs all aspects of IT Support, including:

  1. Training and support of staff on IT Systems
  2. Mail server experience (Postfix, Sendmail, Exim, Antispam / Antivirus, DNSBL, SMTP protocol & general mail routing)
  3. Fortinet Firewall
  4. Mikrotik Wireless networking
  5. Experience with Kaseya helpdesk
  6. Configuring of IP cameras
  7. Ensure that the daily check/task list is completed and submitted to IT team leader
  8. Monitoring of connected devices and the connectivity between Branches
  9. Maintaining IT Documentation – Procedures
  10. Reporting faults to 3rd party suppliers and follow-up
  11. Undertake travel to sites to perform installations and maintenance as required
  12. Windows Server installations and configurations, including DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory
  13. Hyper-V Host and Guest installation, configuration, maintenance, and migrations
  14. Biometric Access Control
Qualifying experience:
  1. A minimum of 8 years of working experience as an IT support technician and directly supporting end-users, both face-to-face and remotely
  2. A minimum of 8 years of experience installing, maintaining, and supporting corporate network environments (LAN & WAN)
  3. Proficient in Hyper-V Virtualization Technology
  4. Scripting and Automation Skills
  5. Knowledge of Acronis Data Backup and Recovery
  6. N+ (CompTIA), A+ (CompTIA), MCSE / MCITP would be highly advantageous
  7. Microsoft Windows (10, 11)
  8. Microsoft Office
  9. Mikrotik knowledge
  10. Knowledge of hardware-software configuration and installation
  11. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  12. Own reliable transport
  13. Networking, Switches, and Router configuration
Advantageous experience:
  1. PLC machinery
  2. VMWare Host and Guest installation, configuration & maintenance
  3. Factory Talk
  4. Auto Cad
Highly Advantageous experience:
  1. Experience in Cloud Automation (PowerAutomate, IFTTT, MAKE, Zapier)
  2. Experience as a Cloud Architect
  3. Experience with Azure Cloud Platform
  4. Experience in Cloud Storage Solutions
  5. Proven Track Record with SQL Database Administration & Performance Tuning
