Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot network, desktop, and IT-related hardware issues.
  • Perform regular backups and software updates.
  • Maintain and manage an IT asset register.
  • Install and configure operating systems, drivers, and software applications.
  • Assemble and upgrade PCs or replace faulty components.
  • Manage video conferencing equipment and setup.
  • Create and configure end user accounts.
  • Monitor and report on Helpdesk and network incidents.
  • Provide IT support for plant operations and finance/accounting systems.
  • Conduct routine preventative IT maintenance and enforce IT security measures.
  • Support both networked and standalone printers.
  • Create IT performance and incident reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company IT security standards.

Job Experience & Skills Required :

Qualifications :

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • FET Certificate : PC Support / PC Engineering / IT Technical Support / NC : IT Systems Support (NQF 4–6 level)
  • Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) – Advantageous
  • CompTIA Security+ – Advantageous
  • Basic knowledge of PLCs – Advantageous
  • Experience :

  • Minimum 3 years relevant IT support experience
  • Proven hands-on experience with :

  • Networking
  • Windows OS (10 and newer)
  • Microsoft 365
  • Active Directory
  • CompTIA A+ and N+
  • Must be willing to undergo a practical IT competency test as part of the selection process
