Industry : FMCG Packaging

Qualification :

• Must have Grade 12 Matric or NQF4 equivalent qualification.
• 3 years of experience as an IT Technician.
• Strong experience with Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
• Proficiency in hardware and software troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience with Pastel Partner and Pastel Evolution.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities :

1. Hardware and Software Installation : Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals including desktops, laptops, printers, and servers.
2. Technical Support : Provide technical support and training to end-users either in-person or remotely to resolve technical issues and ensure seamless operation of IT systems.
3. Troubleshooting and Repair : Troubleshoot and repair technical issues with hardware, software, and networks using diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and resolve problems.
4. Network Administration : Manage and maintain our local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and internet connectivity ensuring optimal performance, security, and uptime.
5. Manage and maintain our Pastel Partner and Pastel Evolution systems including data backups, software updates, and user administration.
6. IT Security : Ensure compliance with IT security policies, procedures, and industry standards including antivirus software, firewalls, and access controls.
7. Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems including hardware and software inventory, network diagrams, and technical guides.
8. Liaise with IT vendors including hardware and software suppliers to resolve technical issues, request support, and negotiate contracts.
