Job description

Qualified IT Technician will install and maintain computer systems and networks aiming for the highest functionality. Must have a thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware, a variety of internet applications, networks, and operating systems, and great troubleshooting abilities.

• Ability to identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders

Responsibilities

1. Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices on-premises and within RDS environments (routers, printers, etc.)
2. Check computer hardware (monitors, mice, keyboards, etc.) to ensure functionality
3. Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications
4. Perform basic network troubleshooting
5. Develop and maintain local networks to optimize performance
6. Ensure compliance with relevant IT policies and procedures
7. Provide orientation and guidance to users on operating new software and equipment
8. Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging, etc.)
9. Maintain records/logs of repairs, fixes, and maintenance schedules
