Job description

The main purpose of this role is to ensure that internal end-users are supported, as well as the installation and maintenance of company hardware, software, networks, and infrastructure to ensure business sustainability and a good end-user experience.

Responsibilities :

  1. Set up and manage user accounts and permissions to control access to a network.
  2. Configure the organization’s computer systems to meet specific business requirements.
  3. Monitor daily computer performance.
  4. Update and maintain the computer inventory and equipment.
  5. Maintain and resolve issues on LAN/WAN, VoIP telephone, biometric, printer, and AV systems connections.
  6. Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems, considering compatibility factors.
  7. Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software.
  8. Resolve hardware and network connectivity issues.
  9. Assist in the technical upgrading and maintenance of desktop systems.
  10. Support testing and deployment of new applications and systems.
  11. Manage Office 365 services such as OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, etc.

Key Skills :

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 tenants and associated management and support.
  • Networking knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, SMTP, FTP, HTTP, HTTPS.
  • Network security administration experience.
  • Ability to install, maintain, optimize, and configure software, including Windows operating systems.
  • Good communication skills and ability to liaise across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work overtime as operationally required.

Qualifications :

  • Matric
  • Microsoft Certifications, CompTIA A+, CompTIA N+
  • Driver's license Code B.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Desktop Support Technician, Network Support Technician, Systems Administrator, or similar role.
  • Good understanding of Office 365 and its applications, with the ability to confidently communicate product implementations to clients.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems, troubleshooting, support, and maintenance.
