A travel technology company in Cape Town is seeking an IT Technician to oversee and maintain its IT infrastructure, manage user accounts, and provide technical support. Ideal candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in IT support and relevant IT qualifications. Owned by Tripco, a travel technology company based in Cape Town, LekkeSlaap is committed to innovation, best-in-class customer service and setting new standards in travel technology.As the IT Technician you'll be responsible for maintaining and supporting the organisation's IT infrastructure, hardware, and user accounts.
In this role, you'll be the go-to person for all things IT, which includes device setup and maintenance, network administration, endpoint security, and end-user support across the company's digital tools and platforms.
You'll work closely with our Head of Operations, Managers and People team to ensure smooth new member onboarding and operational efficiency across LekkeSlaap's IT ecosystem.Key Responsibilities : Overseeing and maintaining the company's IT office infrastructure.Manage user accounts on internal and external systems as required.Regularly maintain and audit user access records.Update internal asset tracking tools for IT assets, software, and account assignments.Install, configure, and update software and hardware across all user devices.Set up and support peripherals, including displays, access points, and communication devices.Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair IT infrastructure, user devices, and software systems.Provide technical support to employees both remotely and on-site.Keep detailed and accurate records of IT activities, incidents, and configurations.Manage procurement and inventory of IT hardware, software, and equipment.Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for support and procurement.Documenting IT processes, best practice methodologies, and internal procedures.Key Skills & Competencies : Solid understanding of network systems (Ubiquiti), desktop environments (Windows & Mac), and IT infrastructure.Experience with MDM and Cybersecurity platforms (e.g., ESET, Vanta).Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple support requests and prioritise effectively.Proficiency in written and verbal Afrikaans and English communication skills.QualificationsDiploma in IT or related field (or equivalent work experience).Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support or systems administration roles.Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus.Modern offices based at the V&A WaterfrontTravel vouchers and exclusive discountsFeelBetterFast : Employer-funded pharmacy visitsPension fund contributionsGenerous leave packageAn additional half-day off every monthMonthly team events and more!
