Job description

The main purpose of this role is to support internal end users and oversee the installation and maintenance of company hardware, software, networks, and infrastructure to ensure business continuity and a positive end-user experience.

DUTIES

  1. Set up and manage user accounts and permissions to control network access.
  2. Configure the organization's computer systems to meet specific business requirements.
  3. Monitor daily computer performance.
  4. Update and maintain the computer inventory and equipment.
  5. Maintain and resolve issues with LAN/WAN, VoIP, telephone, biometric systems, printers, AV systems, and connections.
  6. Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems, considering compatibility factors.
  7. Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software.
  8. Resolve hardware and network connectivity issues.
  9. Assist in the technical upgrading and maintenance of desktop systems.
  10. Support testing and deployment of new applications and systems.
  11. Manage Office 365 services such as OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, etc.

Requirements

  • Matric certificate or equivalent
  • Microsoft Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA N
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Desktop Support Technician, Network Support Technician, or Systems Administrator
  • Good understanding of Office 365 and its applications, with confident communication skills to clients regarding products and implementations
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems, software installation, troubleshooting, support, and maintenance
  • Experience managing Microsoft 365 tenants and related support
  • Knowledge of networking protocols: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, SMTP, FTP, HTTP/HTTPS
  • Network security administration experience
  • Ability to install, maintain, optimize, and configure software and operating systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work overtime as operationally required
  • Valid driver’s license (Code B)

Required Experience:

Relevant IT experience in support and network administration roles
