IT Technical Support Technician

Responsibilities:

1. Assemble new computer systems.
2. Assemble inverter trolley backup systems and network cabinets.
3. Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
4. Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
5. Assist clients via face-to-face or telephonic support to set up systems or resolve issues.
6. Troubleshoot hardware and software faults in systems and networks.
7. Maintain knowledge of networks, including Fibre and CCTV systems.
8. Provide procedural documentation and reports.
9. Work diligently on tasks until completion or referral.
10. Manage support emails efficiently.
11. Provide network support (Ruijie) and CCTV support (Uniview).
12. Support UPS and power backup systems.

Requirements:

1. 2-3+ years of relevant work experience in IT support.
2. Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
3. Microsoft MCSE certification is an advantage.
4. Certifications: A+, N+.
5. Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
6. Experience setting up and troubleshooting computer systems.
7. Basic networking knowledge, including Fibre.
8. Basic CCTV system experience.
9. UPS and power backup troubleshooting skills.
10. Ability to provide telephonic support.
11. Experience with Microsoft Server support.
12. Valid driver’s license and own transport.
13. Ability to work under high pressure.
