Intercare Corporate Services in Menlyn, Pretoria, seeks to recruit an IT Support Technician.

The purpose of the position is to provide technical expertise in cloud and on-premises computing, to maintain computer systems, answer questions, or resolve computer, software, and cloud queries. Provide assistance concerning the use of application software, including Operating Systems, Software, Backup, Anti Virus tools, and network equipment.

CRITICAL OUTPUTS

  1. Set up equipment and software for employee use.
  2. Install and perform repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
  3. Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software.
  4. Set up, install, and test new units prior to handover and monitor functionality.
  5. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software-related problems; replace defective components when necessary.
  6. Receive and prioritize user log calls/requests.
  7. Manage backups, antivirus, and configuration catalog.
  8. Troubleshoot less complex problems with remote and local users online/telephonically.
  9. Visit user branches to analyze, diagnose, and resolve application and operating system-related issues.
  10. Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
  11. Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum Grade 12
  • IT-related qualification highly advantageous
  • At least 3 years experience as an IT Support Technician & IT Infrastructure.
  • Willingness to travel to different localities with own transport.
