A national company in Midrand is seeking a high-energy Junior IT Support Technician.

Salary negotiable between R9,500 to R12,500 following interview and dependent on experience.

Essential Requirements :

1. Completed Matric
2. Completed relevant tertiary IT qualification – beneficial
3. Completed A+ / N+ certifications – highly beneficial
4. Own transport with a valid driver’s license – essential
5. 2+ years’ experience working in desktop, server, cloud, and network fields – essential
6. South African ID
7. Specialized knowledge of computer hardware, software, consumables, and internet-related services
8. Ability to lift and carry equipment
9. Solid understanding of PC hardware / peripheral devices, Active Roles and Active Directory, standard operating systems, and Microsoft Office Applications
10. Experience with MS Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
11. Supporting videoconferencing facilities and projectors
12. Installation and support of network and local printers
13. Design and install computer networks, connections, and cabling
14. Troubleshoot system failures and identify issues to ensure network efficiency
15. Inspect LAN infrastructure and resolve issues
16. Install and maintain VoIP infrastructure
17. Test, configure, and repair hardware and peripheral devices
18. Organize and schedule installations and maintenance
19. Provide technical guidance on computer and network usage
20. Learn and deploy WAN firewalls
21. Perform SQL and Excel maintenance and troubleshooting via hosted exchange platforms
22. Excellent diagnostic, problem-solving, and analytical skills
23. Good communication skills
24. Knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols, and network technologies
25. Experience with SQL databases and Excel
26. Hands-on experience with software and hardware
27. N+ & A+ certifications or equivalent IT knowledge/experience
28. MTCNA certification or Mikrotik knowledge/experience is strongly preferred
