Our client seeks a proactive IT Support Engineer with a passion for technology to join their collaborative team.
Responsibilities :
- Support and management of the company's IT infrastructure, including virtualized servers, desktops, backup and recovery systems, and ERP systems.
- Support of end-user desktops, laptops, and other devices required for business purposes.
- Implementation, management, and improvement of company policies and procedures.
- Management, support, and monitoring of printing equipment.
- Responsible for budgeting and purchasing all information technology products.
- Implementation, management, improvement, and monitoring of all network equipment, including switches, routers, hubs, access points, firewalls, and security products.
- Proposal of IT improvements to senior management.
- Customization of reports, sessions, and scripts in the company's ERP system.
- Manage support and updates for the company's website, intranet, and email accounts.
- Manage and update company IT assets.
- Implement, manage, update, and support the company's quotation systems.
- Responsible for user training.
- Handle support and updates for user logged requests.
- Manage third-party contracts, including vendor warranties, software license renewals, and maintenance agreements.
Requirements
- High school diploma (Grade 12 or technical equivalent).
- Certification in A+, N+, MCSA, or BSc Degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum 10 years of IT experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Windows Servers, Active Directory, Group Policy, MS SQL Server, Windows desktop OS, Microsoft Office).
- Strong technical knowledge of networking technologies (VoIP, VPN, OneDrive, SharePoint).
- Proficient in hardware and software troubleshooting for desktops and servers.
- Ability to work with firewall technologies and IPsec tunnels.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage time effectively, and learn quickly.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of time and attendance software and hardware.
- Understanding of POPIA and its management requirements.
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations and create/edit written materials.
