A leading IT services provider in Durban is seeking an experienced IT Support professional. Responsibilities include building and configuring servers and workstations, troubleshooting issues, and managing server infrastructure. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in IT support, strong networking knowledge, and must possess valid driver's license and own vehicle. Qualifications

  • 5+ years in an IT Support role within an MSP.
  • Strong experience in desktop support, server management, and networking.
  • Must have A+ and N+ or similar qualifications.

Job description

The role :

  • Build, install, and configure workstations, servers, networking devices and cloud services
  • Troubleshooting hardware, OS, and Software related issues on workstations and servers
  • Server management and desktop support ( Tenant, Admin centre and security admin centre, Active Directory, Domain, Windows server Group policy, SCCM, DNS)
  • Troubleshooted firewalls and managed switches and LAN and WAN-related issues.
  • Configure Firewalls from scratch (ideal)
  • Mid-tier server infrastructure knowledge and experience including VMWare and or Hyper-V
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot 3rd-party applications, such as managed antivirus software.
  • Microsoft technologies, including but not limited to Office , Microsoft , and Azure
  • Requirements :
  • Matric
  • 5+ years in a IT Support role, within an MSP in desktop support, server management and administration, networking, switches, firewalls, strong MS including Office
  • MS Azure and able to support telephony systems (advantageous)
  • A+ and N+ or similar
  • MCSE or similar (advantageous)
  • Strong people skills / client facing and communications skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work on your own or in within a team
  • Must have own car and valid drivers
