Job description

We are a leading Managed Service Provider (MSP) with an expanding client base and a great team. We currently have several openings due to expansion and we are looking for skilled, dynamic, and passionate IT Support Engineers to join our technical team in Johannesburg, Illovo, or Cape Town CBD.

We are looking for support engineers that are good all rounders and ideally a track record of working for a MSP or IT company. We currently have junior, mid-range and senior positions open.

Working hours can vary and we do have some day-shift roles available, but most positions will start at 15:00pm and end at 00:00am. We are looking for candidates that are flexible.

You will need a solid technical track record and good interpersonal skills to communicate with our clients. You must be able to coordinate amongst 3rd party providers, other technical staff and the clients in order to troubleshoot systems, as well as plan & assist with new installations and upgrades.

You must have a proven track record that shows a stable career path and strong work ethics.

Requirements

(5-10 years IT background) - Troubleshooting, Migrations, Deployment

Technical Experience required:

  • A+ / N+ or equivalent
  • Any Microsoft Azure or 365 certifications
  • Senior engineers ideally need a degree in computer science, or similar
  • Advanced Experience to support Windows, Apple, and Linux systems.
  • A Solid understanding of Windows servers, AD, DNS, DHCP.
  • A Good understanding of Microsoft SQL
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Azure, VDI, Azure SQL - Manage, maintain, migrate, and design.
  • Microsoft 365 experience to manage and maintain and for seniors to assist with upgrades and migrations.
  • Google Workspace experience - Manage, Maintain, troubleshoot.
  • Cybersecurity foundations and for seniors advanced support that includes CIS-Controls, ISO 27001, or NIST.
  • Solid Networking knowledge to assist with switch configurations, routers, and firewalls. This includes basic setups and advanced VLAN's, VPN's, and SD-WAN.
  • FreePBX, Asterisk, Elastix - Installation, configuration & Advanced management.
  • 3CX - Installation, configuration & Advanced management experience.
  • A Solid understanding of SIP & VOIP with supporting protocol.
  • Working with network analyzers and tools like Wireshark and Zabbix.
  • Extensive experience with Wireless devices and controllers.
  • Experience with Ticket systems and RMM tools will be beneficial.
