Responsibilities

1. Monitoring system performance and ensuring all technical infrastructure is running smoothly.
2. Supervising technical staff and overseeing projects to ensure they are progressing as planned.
3. Monitoring security alerts and ensuring the timely resolution of vulnerabilities and incidents.
4. Ensuring daily backups and necessary data recovery processes are operational.
5. Aligning technology strategy with business objectives and ad hoc requirements.
6. Responding to urgent technical crises and ensuring resolution.
7. Providing status reports on the IT landscape, including updates on ongoing projects, security posture, and system performance.
8. Holding team meetings to foster collaboration, address concerns, and facilitate knowledge sharing.
9. Reviewing and prioritizing project requests from different departments.
10. Coordinating with vendors and partners for service improvements, negotiations, and addressing any issues.
11. Reviewing the progress of strategic IT initiatives and ensuring they align with organizational goals.
12. Reviewing compliance reports and working towards resolving identified issues.
13. Overseeing GRC initiatives and ensuring adherence to necessary frameworks and regulations.
14. Facilitating training and development sessions for the team to keep them updated with latest trends and best practices.
15. Developing and assisting with the annual budget for the technology departments.
16. Conducting a comprehensive review of the year's performance.
17. Ensuring the IT strategy aligns with the organization's long-term strategic goals and regulatory requirements.
18. Conducting risk assessments and developing risk management strategies to mitigate identified risks.
19. Reviewing and updating organizational IT policies to ensure they remain relevant and compliant with regulatory requirements.

Data Privacy Function

1. Keeping abreast of the latest developments in privacy regulations and industry best practices.
2. Responding to any data breaches or privacy incidents, coordinating with different teams to manage the situation effectively.
3. Advising departments on privacy matters, answering queries, and providing guidance.
4. Offering training and awareness programs to employees and stakeholders.
5. Ensuring all privacy-related documents are up-to-date and accessible.
6. Regularly reviewing privacy policies and procedures for effectiveness.
7. Reporting on privacy compliance status within the organization.
8. Engaging stakeholders to discuss privacy concerns and updates.
9. Performing privacy risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
10. Conducting privacy impact assessments as needed.
11. Updating privacy policies based on recent incidents and regulations.
12. Reviewing third-party vendors' privacy practices for compliance.
13. Developing and updating the strategic privacy plan with set goals.
14. Conducting privacy compliance audits to identify gaps.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 5+ years of experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cybersecurity, anomaly detection, SOC detection, threat analytics, security incident and event management (SIEM), IT, and operations incident response.
2. 10+ years of work experience in similar roles.
3. Experience in audits (ISO, SOC, etc.) and remediation follow-up.
4. Certifications like CIPM and/or CIPT are a plus.
5. Experience in conducting privacy reviews and participating in on-call rotations.
6. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Privacy Standard and Data Handling Standards.
7. Experience translating privacy policies into controls.
8. Strong collaboration skills across teams and diverse backgrounds.
9. Ability to manage varying workloads and repetitive processes.
