Overview of the role and requirements : The successful candidate must have a background in Information Security, Group Policy and Standards, and advantageously Information Security Governance, Exceptions, Continuous Compliance, Training, and Awareness. Good understanding of Information Security Industry standards and best practices, e.g., NIST, ISOX Strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong decision-making skills People and function management skills Strong document management and administration skills Responsibilities : Manage Information Security Policies and standards for the group. Address breaches in policies and standards and analyze reasons for breaches. Control documentation and related processes. Facilitate work groups to develop, review, and maintain policies and standards. Participate in decision-making regarding policy and standard requirements. Consult on projects to identify risks, vulnerabilities, and controls. Research and assist in implementing security controls within the organization. Provide monthly reports on standards tracking. Research and understand security best practices and their implementation in a corporate environment. Stay current with emerging technologies in the information security industry. Align group standards with industry standards and best practices. Update relevant documents, review comments, and manage feedback. Requirements : 3-5 years' experience in a similar role. Ideal candidate traits : Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects. Good presentation skills. Effective stakeholder engagement.
