Stellenbosch University IT Project Manager (Post Level 7) joins the IT Division's Partnerships and Projects on Stellenbosch Campus to drive IT-related projects from initiation to closure, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and aligned with governance.

The role emphasizes change management, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional leadership to deliver scalable, sustainable IT solutions for academic and operational success.

Qualifications

• At least an NQF level 7 qualification in a relevant field.
• Minimum three years' formal or demonstrated change-management experience (Prosci, ADKAR, or equivalent).
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Highly organised with a focus on planning and execution.
• Proven ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work with both agile and traditional project management methods.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on stakeholder value.

Responsibilities

• Define scope, objectives, and deliverables; create project plans and budgets.
• Lead project teams, allocate resources, monitor progress.
• Engage stakeholders, report on status, risks and changes.
• Manage risk, quality, and governance; ensure on-time delivery.
• Close projects with lessons learned and transition to operations.
• Oversee change management activities and user adoption.
