Job description

Our client, a well-established Hedge Fund Manager, with a long history of delivering excellent returns, is seeking a proactive IT Operations Specialist to join their IT team. This person will be responsible for monitoring and improving their Microsoft 365 tenant, providing technical user support, and driving cybersecurity initiatives. In this hands-on role, you will resolve user support requests and have the opportunity to work on larger projects that have a bigger impact. The role will have a strong cybersecurity focus as well as deep dives into technical questions to find the root cause of issues and resolve them.

Key Responsibilities :

• Microsoft 365 Maintenance : Monitor and optimize the Microsoft 365 tenant; review and implement recommendations on Windows Defender to enhance security scores
• User Support : Assist business users with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint-related inquiries, providing technical support and resolving issues efficiently
• Technical Issue Resolution : Conduct in-depth investigations to diagnose and resolve technical problems. This includes exposure to enterprise systems from Microsoft and Salesforce
• Cybersecurity Focus : Research and suggest improvements in cybersecurity practices
• Project-Based Improvements : Engage in longer-term IT projects aimed at improving the company’s IT landscape and ensuring a secure and efficient environment

Qualifications and Skills :

• Preferred Experience : 3+ years in IT Support or Operations, with exposure to Microsoft 365 administration
• Technical Aptitude : Comfort with computer systems and eagerness to learn new technologies; ability to research and implement solutions
• Cybersecurity Interest : Interest in cybersecurity, particularly improving security scores and staying up to date with security best practices
• Soft Skills : Strong customer focus, problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Curiosity and Resourcefulness : Ability to leverage LLMs (like ChatGPT) for research and troubleshooting
