As part of their ongoing investment in cybersecurity, they are looking for a dedicated and skilled IT Security Specialist to join their team. This role will be key in strengthening our security posture, protecting sensitive data, and developing best practices across our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Primary Responsibilities:

1. Use event logs or security tools like Darktrace, Log360, or similar to monitor and investigate potential security incidents.
2. Security Recommendations: Provide guidance on mandatory and recommended security measures to enhance the organization's cybersecurity.
3. Develop IT Security Best Practices: Collaborate with internal teams to establish and maintain company-wide cybersecurity best practices.
4. Administer endpoint protection systems such as Sophos and Fortigate to safeguard all company devices.
5. Assist in creating and implementing comprehensive security programs to educate and train employees on security awareness.
6. Keep Security Updated: Ensure the company stays ahead of emerging security threats by keeping security measures up to date.
7. Cybersecurity Strategy Implementation: Implement and maintain cybersecurity policies and protocols including cloud, on-premise, and SAAS environments.
8. MS Productivity Suite Management: Oversee the use of MS productivity tools such as SharePoint, Power Apps, and other essential Microsoft tools.
9. Data Protection: Safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and authorized access to sensitive company data.
10. Cybersecurity Posture Testing: Regularly assess and test the company's security posture to identify potential vulnerabilities and improve defenses.

1. Secondary Responsibilities:

1. User Ticket Management: Ensure user tickets are resolved quickly and accurately with appropriate updates and documentation.
2. User Support: Provide both supportive and instructive IT support to ensure users can work efficiently and effectively.
3. Management Reporting: Report any major security or IT issues that arise to management, especially those that require additional resources or attention.
4. Project Ownership: Lead and manage assigned IT projects, ensuring completion on time and in line with organizational objectives.
5. Server & Network Support: Provide daily server and network support in partnership with the systems engineer to ensure smooth operational performance.
