Exciting Career Opportunity: ICT Manager

A large prestigious private school based in the Upper Highway area of KZN is seeking a skilled ICT Manager to lead their Information and Communication Technology (ICT) operations, aligning with the school’s strategic objectives and fostering a passion for the education environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement the school’s ICT strategy, ensuring seamless integration with academic and administrative functions.
  2. Lead ICT projects, including classroom technology enhancements, network infrastructure, and security systems.
  3. Oversee ICT policies, procedures, and compliance with relevant legislation (POPIA, copyright laws, data security).
  4. Manage ICT budgets, procurement, and asset registers to ensure cost-effectiveness and optimal resource allocation.
  5. Provide leadership and mentorship to the ICT team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  6. Deliver high-quality ICT support to educators and staff, ensuring smooth operations across all school departments.
  7. Ensure effective implementation of cybersecurity measures and data protection protocols.

Skills & Experience Required:

  1. Adherence to the Christian Ethos of the school.
  2. A recognised Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  3. At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a school environment.
  4. Strong knowledge of educational technology, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and digital learning tools.
  5. Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace, Palo Alto, Voice, Vlan, WSUS, and Azure.
  6. Expertise in network security, data management, and ICT compliance standards.
  7. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  8. Ability to collaborate with educators, administrators, and external service providers.
  9. Criminal and Sexual Offender’s Clearance Certificate.
  10. Adhere to the school code of conduct.
