Our client, a prominent player in the motor automotive industry with its head office based in Johannesburg East, is seeking an experienced and dynamic IT Manager. As part of a larger African dealership group, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company's entire IT operations, ensuring the systems are secure, efficient, and aligned with the company's strategic goals. Qualifications Required
  • A relevant degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 – 5 years of proven experience in an IT Manager role.
  • Previous experience working in the automotive industry or dealership networks is highly advantageous.

Skills and Experience Required
  • Strong technical knowledge across various IT domains, including network administration, server management, security protocols, and cloud computing.
  • Expertise in data center management, data governance, and implementing IT policies.
  • Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation.
  • Proficiency in managing IT budgets, forecasting costs, and resource allocation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with various departments and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT security measures, data protection protocols, and regulatory compliance.
  • Project management skills to successfully lead IT initiatives from start to finish.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company’s IT infrastructure, including network, servers, hardware, and software maintenance, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Develop, implement, and manage the IT budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and costs are controlled.
  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of robust IT security measures to protect company data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Manage IT projects, including system implementations, upgrades, migrations, and troubleshooting, to improve business processes and minimize downtime.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and systems to drive improvements and potential cost savings.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align IT initiatives with business goals, ensuring seamless integration with the company’s overall strategy.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of data loss or system disruptions.
  • Develop and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for IT services within the country and ensure adherence to them.
  • Provide guidance and support to the IT support team, assisting with complex technical issues and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
