Purpose of the role :
The IT Manager is responsible for establishing the company’s IT technical vision and leading all aspects of the company’s technology development. As manager of information communication technology, he/she plays an integral role in the company’s strategic direction, development, and future growth. Responsibilities include leading the execution of technology strategy, platforms, partnerships, and relationships.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provide the technical vision aligned with and complementary to the business vision.
- Align the local IT direction with that of the Group.
- Advise senior managers on technology-related business decisions.
- Engage with senior management on innovations to position the company as a leader in integrated innovation management through technology.
Monitor and assess new related technologies as they emerge.
- Conduct ongoing research and development into supporting technologies.
- Assess unsolicited proposals from a technology perspective.
- Support departments in technological innovation for products and services.
Information Technology :
- Implement activities and policies that create useful technologies to serve users and enhance functions.
- Manage strategic plans for computing and information technology to meet business goals.
- Ensure infrastructure capabilities support company growth and objectives.
- Develop and enforce operating policies for IT.
- Evaluate IT operations and recommend improvements.
- Ensure the security of information systems, databases, networks, and equipment.
- Ensure ERP system requirements are met and develop the system further as needed.
Transformation :
- Shape IT operations to realize the company's vision and strategic direction.
Project Management :
- Plan and schedule projects.
- Manage subcontractors.
- Control project costs.
- Complete projects on time and within budget.
Contract Management :
- Ensure service delivery agreements are met.
- Manage procurement processes correctly and timely.
- Report on contract performance to management.
Supervision :
- Manage the IT department and staff.
- Conduct performance reviews.
- Oversee attendance and time management.
- Develop and implement an optimal organizational structure within IT.
- Identify staff training needs.
- Inform staff of organizational developments regularly.
