Our esteemed client in Pretoria is looking for an experienced IT Manager. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the IT infrastructure, ERP systems, and hosted services in collaboration with third-party service providers. The role also includes providing first-line support for systems, with a strong focus on ITC experience and SQL Server management.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in technology or related discipline preferred.
- Minimum of six years’ experience in networks, computer setup and software deployment.
- Strong accounting, finance, and budgeting experience required.
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server.
- Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience in IT management.
- Experience in user assistance and first-line support.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Align ICT strategy with business objectives and IT trends.
- Implement IT governance, identify, and manage IT risks.
- Ensure IT compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Use company-approved software and hardware, with active support from suppliers.
- Maintain licenced software usage.
- Perform daily server backups and conduct monthly tests.
- Manage disaster recovery programs with hosting providers.
- Ensure data replication from local servers to production servers.
- Apply software and hardware updates/patches as per IT policy.
- Deploy up-to-date antivirus software.
- Archive emails and implement mail protection (e.g., Mimecast).
- Attend to Ossi call logging system.
- Manage and resolve incidents/requests/changes logged by users.
- Provide after-hours support.
- Conduct maintenance as per schedule or incident response.
- Provide ad-hoc training and guidance on systems.
- Maintain barcode registers and distribution radiuses.
- Manage users on GP, AD, and other systems.
- Calculate and approve vendor incentives and import vendor pricing.
- Calculate selling prices or budget imports.
- Develop and run BI 360 reports.
- Verify and approve agent incentives.
- Compile board reports.
- Manage rebate imports when required.
- Analyze logged calls and user requests to identify training needs.
- Coordinate and provide staff training.
- Source training materials where applicable.
- Coordinate procurement of IT equipment and services within budget.
- Negotiate with suppliers and manage service provider billing.
- Monitor service provider performance against SLAs.
- Ensure network availability of 99%.
- Develop and execute IT strategies aligned with business goals.
- Review IT policies and procedures.
- Provide cost estimates for site budgets and communicate monthly chargebacks.
- Ensure licenses and fees are current and IT costs are aligned with actual spend.
- Negotiate annual fees as per instructions.
- Ensure solutions are integrated technically and at the business level.
- Configure new computers, email accounts, user profiles, and networks.
- Manage and optimize network infrastructure for performance and availability.
- Implement data security best practices.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies for efficiency improvements.
