Job summary

A luxury hotel group in Cape Town is seeking an experienced IT Support Manager to oversee hardware and software systems, ensure adherence to hotel policies, and deliver exceptional service standards. Candidates should have 3–5 years of relevant experience in hospitality, strong communication skills, and familiarity with hotel technology platforms. Qualifications

  • Manage the IT Department, providing support for hardware and software issues.

  • Support and maintain various hotel technology systems, including PABX, IPTV, and POS.

Job description

Job Purpose: This position requires a well-spoken and articulate individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The candidate should have a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently.

Organisational Positioning:

  • Department: Admin and General department
  • Reporting to: Hotel Operations Manager
  • Location: The Twelve Apostles Hotel Premises

Minimum Experience or Qualification Required:

  • Highly presentable
  • Excellent command of English with solid verbal and written skills
  • 3–5 years' experience in IT support or management, preferably in hospitality
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals and basic infrastructure management
  • Familiarity with hotel technology platforms such as POS (Symphony preferred), PABX, IPTV, Windows Server, Office, and AV equipment
  • Strong documentation, reporting, organizational, and project coordination skills

Key Performance Objectives:

  • Maintain familiarity with and adherence to hotel policies and emergency procedures

  • Minimize waste and reduce carbon footprint without compromising service quality
  • Manage the IT Department, providing support for hardware and software issues, maintaining asset registers, and overseeing network and systems administration
  • Support and maintain various hotel technology systems, including PABX, IPTV, POS, and AV systems
  • Liaise with vendors and manage IT projects and upgrades
