Overview
We are looking for a confident, strategic, and outgoing Junior IT Sales Consultant to join our team. This entry-level role focuses on selling IT hardware and software solutions. The ideal candidate is a natural communicator with strong negotiation skills, a passion for technology, and the ability to think ahead and build lasting client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify leads within the reseller and distribution network.
- Promote and sell IT hardware products such as laptops, desktops, servers, networking equipment, and peripherals.
- Support senior consultants in preparing quotes, proposals, and presentations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with reseller partners, vendors, and clients.
- Provide basic technical guidance and product recommendations to clients.
- Negotiate pricing and terms to close deals effectively and profitably.
- Apply strategic thinking to understand client needs and position solutions accordingly.
- Track sales activities and update CRM systems regularly.
- Attend vendor training sessions and product launches to enhance product knowledge.
Requirements
- Matric certificate (Grade 12) and relevant diploma and degree
- 12 years of experience in IT sales.
- Basic understanding of IT hardware and related technologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good negotiation skills and a persuasive approach to sales.
- Extroverted personality with excellent people skills.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to plan and prioritize effectively.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
- Own transport and valid drivers license (preferred but not mandatory).
