We operate the various technology platforms and shared services, ensure Cyber and Information Security resilience, and act as technology governance and riskorchestrator for technology across Sanlam.

What will you do?

As a Specialist: IT Governance and Compliance, you will support the implementation and maintenance of IT Governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. You will work closely with business units and clusters to embed governance principles, monitor compliance, and contribute to the continuous improvement of governance maturity. This role emphasizes hands-on execution, technical expertise, and collaboration across teams to ensure that IT assets are managed effectively and securely.

Qualifications

• Grade 12
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Certifications such as COBIT, ITIL, CISA, CISM, CRISC, are advantageous.

Experience

• 4–6 years in IT Governance, Compliance, or Risk roles.
• Experience in applying governance frameworks in operational environments.
• Familiarity with privacy laws and cybersecurity standards.
• Exposure to regulated industries such as insurance, finance or healthcare
