Job description

Provide technical support for IT systems, ensuring smooth operations, security, and minimal downtime. Responsibilities include cybersecurity, backups, system support, and IT infrastructure maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cybersecurity (20%) Implement endpoint security, monitor threats, respond to incidents, and provide cybersecurity training.
  • IT Support (20%) Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and videoconferencing systems. Ensure timely updates and user support.
  • Backups & Disaster Recovery (20%) Perform regular backups, test recovery procedures, and maintain disaster recovery plans.
  • System Support (10%) Provide technical support for Sage Payroll, warehouse scanning, and related systems.
  • Compliance & Cost Control (10%) Ensure adherence to IT regulations, optimize costs, and maintain records.
  • Customer Service (20%) Provide high-quality IT support, problem-solving, and user assistance.
Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Certificate in IT (NQF 5) required, Diploma (NQF 6) preferred.
  • 5 years experience in a similar role; Office 365 experience advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft OS, Endpoint Security, Backups, Microsoft 365.
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and communication skills.
  • Customer-focused, proactive, and resilient.
