Job description

Our client, a leading IT services company, is seeking an IT Data Support Analyst to join their team. This is a remote, work-from-home role; however, candidates must be based in or around Umhlanga/Ballito to attend monthly in-person team meetings.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about IT, with a strong interest in technical workflows, AI automation, and data management. This role requires someone who thrives in a remote work environment while staying engaged with a dynamic, tech-driven team.

Our client works with well-known South African blue chips as well as small to medium organisations. They help businesses speed up and automate manual processes. This is done through a combination of professional services, low-code proprietary products and AI.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can liaise with clients on the phone, via email and in online meetings. You will be assisting clients with support issues related to the products and services, once delivered, as well as creating new automation workflows.

On a day-to-day basis you will be dealing with large volumes of data, analysing and troubleshooting the logic of data workflows and be required to use the most relevant software to identify problems in the data.

System tools and files you will be working with include:

  • Mongo DB Compass
  • MySQL Workbench
  • Postman
  • Kubernettes and monitoring tools
  • A proprietary iPaaS - Integration platform as a service
  • File types such as: XML, JSON and CSV for data transformation and UI workflow
  • And many more…

The interview process will include several exercises to assess your aptitude and give you a flavour for the type of day-to-day work involved.

Essential for this role

  • Completed a grade 12 with a tertiary qualification
  • At least 2 years’ work experience in IT
  • Proven background in problem solving
  • Advanced excel skills e.g., VLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, advanced conditional formatting
  • Strong grasp for numbers
  • Ability to learn new software quickly
  • Detail orientated and calm under pressure
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills

Salary offered will factor in current remuneration, assessment of skills and how quickly you will hit the ground running.

This is a very close-knit team, who enjoy spending time together both inside and outside of work. A close team environment, where you are working with well-known clients in SA. The leadership team is hands-on and eager to coach and develop their new Data Support Analyst to take on more complex support issues. Very good scope for career development.
