WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We're seeking an experienced IT Cloud Specialist to join an enterprise Client's Infrastructure team. Your responsibilities will include providing high-level technical advice and support on Cloud computing systems, covering design, testing, deployment, monitoring, performance reporting, problem resolution, diagnostics, and security, all aligned with service levels, professionalism, reliability, and regulatory standards.

This role requires ensuring practices comply with policies, frameworks, tools, industry standards, and legislative requirements, supporting business operations and innovation.

Client Stakeholders You Will Engage With

• Internal: Central Gaming Hospitality Teams; Central IT Teams; Unit IT Teams
• External: Vendors (data sets), Suppliers

Experience

• Minimum 5 years in IT, specifically in Cloud administration
• Experience with Cloud servers in virtualized environments
• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining services like Bind, Apache, MySQL, nginx
• Experience with Server hardware
• Knowledge of Cloud scripting languages fundamentals

Qualifications & Competencies

• BTech or equivalent
• Azure Cloud Certification
• CompTIA Cloud Certification (advantageous)
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (advantageous)
• AWS certification (advantageous)
• Experience with Cloud servers in virtualized environments
• Skills in Cloud scripting, service configuration, and maintenance
• Familiarity with configuration management tools like Puppet and Chef
• Knowledge of load balancing, firewalls, network tools (iptables, Cloud IPVS, HAProxy)
• Ability to build and monitor production services
• Understanding of servers, switches, and client infrastructure setup

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the owner and technical expert for Cloud computing systems, supporting the Sun International group
• Design and implement logging, monitoring, and capacity planning for cloud solutions
• Develop and administer configuration management solutions
• Monitor system performance and ensure security compliance
• Provide support, documentation, and training on security patching and system hardening
• Diagnose and troubleshoot Cloud OS faults
• Manage enterprise cloud platforms and oversee migrations, including from System Center to VMware
• Coordinate workload migrations to new cloud solutions
• Collaborate with various teams to plan and implement changes and automation
• Implement and work within Cloud Brokerage environments
• Resolve issues related to servers, hardware, applications, and software
• Design infrastructure monitoring and reporting tools
• Develop test automation frameworks
• Define and enforce system standards
• Support Cloud-based systems administration and data management
• Research new Cloud technologies and share expertise
• Report on Cloud operations, manage SLAs, performance, and vendor billing
