Job description

Job Purpose

Assist the IT application department by coordinating tasks, performing data cleansing, and developing dashboards and presentations for reporting purposes. Working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure data integrity, support system operations, and provide actionable insights through reporting and data visualization

Key Accountability Areas

Application Support and Coordination:

  • Provide administrative and technical support to the IT application department, ensuring smooth operation of applications and systems.
  • Coordinate with various departments to track and manage the status of ongoing IT application-related tasks and projects.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving application issues, collaborating with internal IT teams and external vendors when necessary.
  • Monitor application performance and escalate issues to senior IT staff or vendors as needed.

Data Cleansing and Maintenance:
  • Perform regular data cleansing to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across IT applications and databases.
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies and perform routine checks on data integrity within systems.
  • Work with stakeholders to clean, update, and maintain databases and application data, ensuring it is up-to-date and reliable for reporting purposes.

Dashboard and Reporting:
  • Design, create, and maintain interactive dashboards using data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources to produce actionable insights for management and stakeholders.
  • Develop and automate regular reports that provide key performance metrics and operational insights to support business decision-making.
  • Present data and insights in clear, visually appealing formats for senior leadership and other key stakeholders.

Task and Project Coordination:
  • Support the department in coordinating and managing application-related tasks, ensuring timelines are met and deliverables are achieved.
  • Assist in preparing and managing project documentation, including schedules, progress reports, and task lists.
  • Facilitate communication between various teams to ensure that IT application projects and tasks are progressing efficiently.

Presentation Preparation:
  • Create and deliver presentations to communicate project updates, data findings, and application-related performance to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal meetings, providing clear insights into application performance, data analysis, and department progress.

Process Improvement:
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve data handling, application support processes, and reporting workflows.
  • Collaborate with other teams to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of IT application systems and related processes.
  • Participate in meetings to discuss system enhancements and upgrades, providing input based on data analysis and user feedback
