About the job: IT Business Analyst
Key purpose:
The Credit Business Analyst will be responsible for defining requirements and product sets for configuration and maintenance of existing modules of the Murex product suite.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Define requirements and product sets for configuration and maintenance of Murex modules, including the Limits Controller and Basel II Credit Capital Calculator.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of credit processes, systems, information flows, and functional requirements.
- Build and maintain business processes for Credit to identify and understand business workings, deriving requirements and constraints for system implementation, including current and future processes.
- Assess the impact of proposed projects on business and IT systems, performing impact analyses on new requirements and system dependencies.
- Ensure comprehensive assessment of end-to-end Credit systems and their dependencies during analysis.
- Support Credit Business Architecture, aligning with RMB standards.
- Identify gaps between current and future states, determining necessary changes to achieve future objectives.
- Identify processes needing redesign due to inefficiencies and propose improvements with stakeholder buy-in.
- Document end-to-end Credit process flows, including activities, inputs, outputs, resources, and performance measures.
- Support efficiency measures and targets for Credit processes, including touchpoints in Business Units.
- Assist project teams with Murex configuration to translate business needs into system functionalities, including reporting and specifications.
- Understand existing systems and their interdependencies (As-Is analysis).
- Analyze and propose re-engineering or process optimization.
- Ensure projects align with the credit business architecture and standards.
- Understand system specifications to identify solutions, opportunities, and limitations.
- Apply Business Architecture guidelines to ensure high-quality requirements and specifications.
- Assist technical teams in translating requirements into detailed technical specifications.
- Oversee testing activities to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
- Proactively identify operational problems and propose solutions, collaborating with Business Analysts and Project Managers.
- Work with technical architects to define the Credit systems landscape, challenging redundant needs.
- Create and maintain a Credit business information model and data guidelines.
- Provide expert advice in Credit, staying updated on industry practices.
Qualifications and experience:
- Relevant degree or qualification; excellent Excel skills for creating and maintaining test packs and scenarios.
- 2-5 years of practical experience in major projects related to credit business.
- Strong background in implementing build and buy business solutions.
- Ability to engage in technical discussions.
- Experience in investment banking sector preferred.
