Job summary

Sasria is offering an IT Audit internship in Sandton, Gauteng. You will work closely with IT Auditors for training, coaching, and guidance while assisting with advisory services and IT audit reviews in line with the audit plan and internal audit methodology.

The role emphasizes developing skills in risk assessment, controls evaluation, and professional development, with opportunities to engage in project teams and external assurance activities.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required but must demonstrate professionalism and ability to grasp concepts swiftly.
• BSc (Computer Science), BCom, or 3-year National Diploma in Internal Audit/Finance or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with performing IT internal audits for Sasria departments and/or agent companies.
• Provide advisory services, including audit recommendations and participation in Risk Management sessions (RCSAs).
• Identify and evaluate risk areas within the organization.
• Assist in reviewing the adequacy and effectiveness of controls using flow charts and other evaluation methods.
• Develop audit programs and procedures by identifying risks and controls matrix (RACM).
• Complete working papers according to the IT audit methodology.
• Maintain effective client and staff relationships through individual contacts and group meetings.
• Pursue professional development opportunities, including training and professional association memberships.
• Represent internal audit on company project teams and with external assurance providers.
• Actively work on improving skills, including negotiation, problem-solving, communication, and relationship building.
• Perform any reasonable ad hoc tasks as required by Senior IT Auditors or Internal Audit Manager

Education
