Responsibilities

Our client is looking for a skilled IT Administrator to be internally placed at one of their clients in Bapsfontien.

You will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the organisation's IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities include:

  1. End user / server support: Install, configure, and maintain personal computers, file servers, internet and intranet networks, network cabling, and related equipment; upgrade and configure modems, disk drives, data acquisition boards, printers, and related equipment.
  2. Perform and oversee software and application development, installation, and upgrades.
  3. Maintain site licenses for the department/organization.
  4. Plan and implement network security, including building firewalls, applying cryptography, managing host security, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery plans, and user management.
  5. Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions.
  6. Develop and conduct training for system users on operating systems, databases, and applications.
  7. Identify utilization patterns and their impact on system performance.
  8. Implement preventive measures for communication and networking issues.
  9. Establish and perform maintenance programs following standards.
