Norman Goodfellows is looking for an IT Administrator to join our Cape Town team!

The IT Administrator will provide first-line technical support and assist in maintaining the organisation’s IT infrastructure. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with foundational IT knowledge who is eager to grow their skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues
  • Set up and configure workstations, laptops, printers, and other peripherals
  • Assist with user account management (e.g., email, system access, password resets)
  • Perform routine maintenance on IT systems and ensure software updates and patches are applied
  • Support the IT team with server maintenance, backups, and network monitoring
  • Document IT procedures and user guides
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and assets
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or vendors when necessary

Requirements

  • A diploma or certificate in Information Technology or a related field
  • Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and networking concepts
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Previous experience in an IT support role (internship or entry-level) is advantageous
