Overview

Over the last decade, Webrepublic has grown from an ambitious startup into Switzerland’s leading digital agency. Recently, we launched a subsidiary in South Africa to work alongside our HQ in Switzerland. Our team in Cape Town has expanded, and we are now looking for a Project Coordinator & Administrator to help develop our local presence into a large-scale operation.

Role: IT Administrator

As an IT Administrator, you will support our teams in Cape Town and Zurich, as well as assist our subsidiary, PACE. Your responsibilities will include maintaining our infrastructure to ensure high service levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain essential IT infrastructure including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
  • Manage IT projects and solutions supporting broader business initiatives.
  • Operate critical systems that provide a competitive edge in the global market.
  • Develop analytics and processes for faster, smarter operations and meaningful insights.
  • Communicate project status, activities, and achievements clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A National Diploma, Higher Certificate, or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of proven experience in IT administration or a similar role.
  • A proactive approach and ability to work independently.
  • Server administration skills including user/group management, security permissions, Group Policy, and print services.
  • Experience in monitoring data center health, troubleshooting hardware issues, and building/testing servers.
  • Ability to support internal infrastructure and networks, including laptops/desktops, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, and phones.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to identify root causes and provide Level 2/3 support.
  • Experience with system audits, backups, and recovery processes.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies.
  • Working knowledge of programming/scripting languages, major OS, enterprise backup & recovery, performance monitoring, Active Directory, virtualization, HTTP traffic, content delivery, caching, project management, and cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Nice-to-have skills: experience with JumpCloud, XenServer, and knowledge of German language.
