An exceptional opportunity exists for a dedicated ISO Manager to join a prominent organization at their operational hub in Durban, South Africa. This role is ideal for an expert who thrives on ensuring rigorous standards, promoting continuous improvement, and safeguarding quality, environmental, health, and safety integrity within a critical logistics and supply chain environment serving the mining and trading sectors.

Requirements :

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Quality Management, Environmental Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Information Security, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience specifically in the implementation and certification processes of ISO standards.
  • Strong knowledge of key ISO standards, such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or ISO 27001, depending on your expertise.
  • Proven experience in conducting audits and managing compliance with regulatory requirements and certification bodies.
  • Proficiency with document management systems and audit software is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational, project management, communication, and training skills, with an analytical mindset and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence organizational change with a focus on compliance and continuous improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities :

As the ISO Manager, your core responsibilities will include :

  1. Develop and maintain ISO systems by establishing, implementing, and managing Quality Management Systems (QMS) and other relevant ISO management systems in accordance with ISO standards.
  2. Lead the organization through successful certification and recertification audits, coordinating internal and external audits to ensure ongoing compliance.
  3. Develop, maintain, and control all necessary documentation, including policies, procedures, work instructions, and records, ensuring proper document control.
  4. Design and facilitate training and awareness programs to ensure employee understanding of ISO requirements and their roles in maintaining compliance.
  5. Identify risks and opportunities related to quality, environment, health and safety, or information security. Lead corrective and preventive actions and champion continuous improvement initiatives.
  6. Plan and conduct internal audits, manage non-conformances, and liaise with external auditors and certification bodies.
  7. Prepare and present reports on system performance, audit results, and improvement activities to senior management.
  8. Engage with various departments and stakeholders to integrate ISO requirements into business processes and support organizational goals.
