isiZulu and Life Orientation Teacher – High School

Founded in 1946 by the Missionary Sisters, Assumption Convent is an independent Catholic girls school in the heart of Johannesburg offering affordable, quality education.

Assumption Convent School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and passionate individual in the position of isiZulu Teacher HS.

The ideal candidate must:

  • Be passionate about isiZulu and have an active interest in adopting innovative approaches to teaching the subject.
  • Experience teaching the IEB isiZulu curriculum at a senior level
  • Experience as an IEB sub-examiner of Matric final examinations will be an added advantage.
  • Have excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Embrace technology to significantly enrich the learning experience.
  • Be willing to participate fully in the life of the school and in extra-curricular activities.
  • Be SACE registered.
  • Have the ability to work in a team.
  • Have the ability to cope with demands and pressure.
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
