IsiXhosa Teacher

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced IsiXhosa Teacher to join our team at Elkanah House High School. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching IsiXhosa language and culture to students from diverse backgrounds. They will have a strong understanding of the IsiXhosa language and be able to create engaging and interactive lessons that cater to students' individual needs and learning styles.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver IsiXhosa language lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum and guidelines
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students
- Assess and evaluate student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student learning and development
- Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching skills and knowledge
- Foster a love for IsiXhosa language and culture in students through engaging and interactive lessons
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavior

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Valid teaching certification or license in IsiXhosa
- Proven experience teaching IsiXhosa language to students of various ages
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Understanding of and respect for diverse cultures and backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in IsiXhosa language or related field
- Previous experience teaching IsiXhosa language in a multicultural setting
- Knowledge of best practices in second language acquisition
- S.A.C.E. Accreditation
