Qualifications

• Proven experience (3+ years) as an Irrigation Specialist, Technician, or related role in agriculture or landscaping.
• Strong knowledge of irrigation system types, components and best practices.
• Experience with water management and conservation techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools for maintenance and repair.
• Ability to work outdoors in agricultural environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and implement efficient irrigation systems for diverse crops.
• Install, maintain, and repair irrigation equipment, pumps, valves, and controllers.
• Monitor soil moisture levels and weather data to schedule irrigation cycles effectively.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems within irrigation systems and implement timely repairs.
• Optimize water usage to reduce waste and ensure plants receive the appropriate amount of water.
• Keep detailed records of irrigation activities, water usage, system performance, and maintenance performed.
