Introduction

We are a leading freight and logistics company based in Gauteng, currently seeking an experienced HR Manager.

The HR Manager acts as the primary contact within the business and all stakeholders regarding HR and IR matters.

The HR Manager manages the quality of HR service delivery by setting objectives and ensuring implementation, compliance with HR policies, practices, procedures, and legislation.

The HR Manager provides daily advice to employees and management on people issues and employee relations.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Update HR policies in line with best practices and the Labour Relations Act.
  2. Ensure high talent retention, develop employee growth plans, engage regularly with staff, and provide coaching.
  3. Create and update job profiles for all roles.
  4. Address employee concerns promptly and proactively.
  5. Assist management with recruitment, including interviewing, offering, and onboarding.
  6. Coordinate internal and external training programs.
  7. Manage the Learnership program and renewals.
  8. Participate in Employment Equity and Social & Ethics Committees.
  9. Work with Finance to meet BBB-EE scorecard requirements.
  10. Ensure compliance with labor laws and prepare relevant reports.
  11. Manage employee benefit interactions and recruitment agencies.
  12. Oversee disciplinary proceedings with fairness and consistency.
  13. Administer IOD claims and stay updated with Department of Labour regulations.
  14. Capture WSP & ATR annually.
  15. Drive CSI initiatives and liaise during audits.
  16. Perform HR audits and participate in strategic planning.
  17. Develop HR strategies with senior management to improve organizational effectiveness.
  18. Lead talent management, workforce planning, and succession planning initiatives.
  19. Prepare HR metrics reports and utilize data for improvements.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Grade 12
  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resources

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years in Transport and Logistics environment.
  • Extensive HR management experience, including leadership roles.
