Business Development Executive - Connected Network

The Business Development Executive - Connected Network will be responsible for qualifying leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities, as well as contacting potential clients through cold calls and emails.

A firm understanding of IoT solutions and connectivity is critical in this position while presenting our company to potential clients.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Key Account Management
  2. The successful candidate will be responsible for all presales and sales activities, from lead generation, sales cycle management, and deal closure.
  3. Develops and implements an agreed-upon Sales Plan which will meet both personal and business goals of expanding customer base in the relevant vertical area.
  4. Works within the sales, product, and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values.
  5. Promotes the company's SaaS (Software as a Service) & IoT solutions by prospecting, qualifying, and closing deals.
  6. Sources new customer opportunities.
  7. Negotiates agreements and closes deals.
  8. Achieves targets as set by your designated manager.
  9. Identifies new markets and business opportunities.
  10. Generates leads through cold calling from the database; canvassing; referrals; networking.
  11. Manages conversion ratio from lead generation into new business sale.
  12. Builds a quality pipeline to meet set monthly new business sales targets.
  13. Follows up on leads and prospects to close.
  14. Manages pipeline velocity to drive a deal / opportunity to close.
  15. Maintains online CRM report to Sales & Operations Director.
  16. Maintains sales professional standards at all times.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
  • At least 5 years' sales experience of complex and/or big deal management with a proven track record in closing deals.
  • At least 3 years' experience selling IoT solutions across industries, as well as experience in hardware, networking, and connectivity would be advantageous.
  • Proven strong hunting skills required for closing deals and achieving sales targets.
  • Ambitious and persistent.
  • Persuasive and credible.
  • Articulate, confident communicator with presentation skills.
  • Thrives in a pressurized, sales-driven environment.
  • Ability to anticipate or handle customer objections.
  • Inquisitive to identify customers' needs and have the ability to offer informed solutions.
