Job description

Job Description : As an Expert Detailing Representative (EDR), your role will be to drive HCP awareness, advocacy, and recommendation of our client's Consumer Healthcare's key power brands to their patients/customers.

Your role combines a range of accountabilities and responsibilities to drive meaningful engagement, promote our products/channels, and is therefore key to the delivery of increased market share, driving volume consumption and professional endorsement of our client's brand portfolio to meet targets.

Through effective orchestration, you will employ a variety of engagement channels, both digital and face-to-face/remote, to ensure the successful execution of our Omnichannel Expert Engagement Strategy.

Key Responsibilities :
  1. Conduct in-depth and informative expert detailing sessions with HCPs to effectively present our client's brands, clinical data, therapeutic benefits, and unique selling points.
  2. Recruit experts to our client's digital channels to enable value-added services through digital communication (e-consent approvals, HHP registrations, etc.).
  3. Utilize a variety of engagement channels, including face-to-face calls, remote calls, Veeva emails, webinars, and online/offline resources, to interact with HCPs and drive meaningful engagement.
  4. Guide HCPs in accessing and effectively utilizing available resources for patient communications and actions on the HHP.
  5. Motivate HCPs to participate in self-learning medical modules for Continuous Medical Education (CME) to enhance their knowledge about our client's brands.
  6. Deliver in-call quality on a consistent basis, measured through field visit assessments, expert performance tracking, and VOC surveys as indicators.
  7. Foster relationships with HCPs in your assigned territory through meaningful interactions and discussions about their needs and preferences.
  8. Ensure effective distribution of medical samples to HCPs, facilitating patient trial and potential conversion to purchase.
  9. Monitor and achieve strategic expert performance indicators (KPIs) such as Average Weekly Recommendations (AWR), Brand Recommended Most Often (BRMO), and Share of Recommendations (SoR) to measure conversion success.
  10. Meet or exceed territory sales targets contributing to overall company growth and revenue.
  11. Provide feedback to internal stakeholders regarding HCP insights, preferences, competitor intelligence, and market trends.
  12. Coordinate and support standalone lunch and learn meetings or conferences to deepen HCP engagement.
  13. Be a consistent ambassador of the expert field team, continuously demonstrating our client's behaviours within SOPs and in compliance.
Qualifications :
  1. Educational Background : Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Additional qualifications or certifications in sales or marketing are advantageous.
  2. Product Knowledge : Thorough understanding of pharmaceutical products, therapeutic areas, and clinical data presented.
  3. Communication Skills : Excellent communication skills to convey complex medical information effectively to HCPs and adapt communication to individual preferences.
  4. Digital Proficiency : Familiarity with digital tools, CRM systems (e.g., Veeva), and online communication platforms.
  5. Sales Experience : Prior experience in pharmaceutical sales or related roles, with a successful track record of achieving sales targets.
  6. Time Management : Organizational skills to manage multiple engagement channels and activities efficiently.
  7. Analytical Skills : Capability to analyze sales data, KPIs, and performance metrics to drive strategy adjustments.
  8. Compliance Awareness : Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and ethical guidelines in interactions with HCPs.
