Job description

Investment Pricing Analyst required in Cape Town.

An established financial services team is seeking an analytically strong, highly curious, and commercially minded Investment Pricing Analyst to support the accurate valuation and forecasting of debt portfolios.

This role is ideal for a data-driven individual with strong financial modelling skills who thrives in high-performance environments and enjoys working at the intersection of finance, data, and strategy.

You will be working closely with senior executives to evaluate investment opportunities, refine pricing models, and contribute to strategic decisions in a fast-paced and solutions-oriented environment. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking team that is pushing boundaries in credit and investment analytics.

Salary: R65 000 – R70 000 per month.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and validate large internal and external datasets to ensure data integrity and accuracy
  • Identify trends and anomalies within data to surface insights and mitigate pricing risks
  • Enhance and prepare datasets using additional internal or third-party data sources
  • Support the refinement of existing pricing models and the development of new ones
  • Predict future performance of debt portfolios
  • Perform financial modelling to value debt investments
  • Present pricing outputs and key insights to senior stakeholders and investment committees
  • Assist in the preparation of investment proposals for executive and board-level review
  • Monitor and report on the ongoing performance of acquired portfolios

Requirements:

  • A degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Actuarial Science, or a related quantitative discipline
  • 2–3 years’ relevant experience in pricing, financial modelling, credit analytics, or a related environment
  • Previous exposure to credit, collections, or professional services industries is advantageous
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modelling and data analysis
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or equivalent analytics tools
