Network Recruitment is seeking an Investment Manager to join a growing financial services organisation focused on SME financing. You will assess opportunities, structure financing and build lasting SME relationships.

Ideal candidates will have a BCom in accounting/finance and at least 4 years in business investment, with strong analytical and negotiation skills to drive value and growth.

Are you an experienced investment or business finance professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for supporting business growth? An exciting opportunity is available for an Investment Manager to join an established financial services organisation specialising in financing solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The organisation partners with entrepreneurs to build sustainable businesses through tailored funding, mentorship and business support. This role offers the opportunity to assess investment opportunities, structure financing solutions and build lasting relationships within the SME market.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Conducting market research to identify potential investment opportunities, clients and strategic partnerships.
• Building and expanding business networks through industry events, conferences and networking opportunities.
• Assessing the financial position, viability and risk profile of prospective investment opportunities through detailed due diligence.
• Developing financial models covering revenue projections, cost analysis, risk assessments and expected returns to support investment decisions.
• Preparing comprehensive investment reports outlining findings, associated risks and potential returns for stakeholders.
• Structuring and negotiating financing solutions that balance client needs with risk considerations and investment return objectives.
• Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders across the SME market.
• Monitoring and evaluating client portfolio performance.
• Staying informed of relevant industry regulations, market developments and economic trends to support effective investment strategies.

Qualifications

• BCom degree in Accounting, Finance or another business-related field.
• A minimum of Financial Accounting 2 or an equivalent subject.

Experience and Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in business investment or a business finance-related role.
• Experience in auditing, banking, financial accounting, and/or sales and marketing will be advantageous.
• Strong financial and analytical capabilities.
• Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong negotiation and influencing abilities.
• A results-driven approach with sound commercial and entrepreneurial thinking.
