Job summary

Glacier by Sanlam seeks a seasoned Business Development Manager to drive investment distribution and grow the retail market share across local platform solutions and Sanlam Life wrappers. You will support Platform BDMs, provide specialist guidance to advisers, and enable intermediaries with insights and tools to grow business and improve client outcomes.

Qualifications

Eight years’ experience in an investment industry distribution environment.
Extensive experience supporting business growth through distribution channels and adviser enablement.
A proven sales track record within the investment industry.
Sound technical knowledge of retail covered solutions, linked investment service provider platforms, and structured solutions.
Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
Willingness to travel throughout the area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

Customer Relationship Development / Prospecting — develop a contact plan and engage new relationships.
Sales Opportunities Creation — identify potential customers via referrals and events.
Business Development — monitor market data to identify growth areas.
Performance Management — support objectives and monitor team performance.
Organizational Capability Building — coach team members to develop skills.
