Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and analysis to support investment portfolio management and identify new opportunities.
• Assist with portfolio monitoring, reporting, and performance evaluation.
• Develop and interpret financial models, including advanced techniques and macros.
• Perform comprehensive financial analysis, including reviewing financial statements and valuations, and explaining performance variances.
• Support deal identification and origination, analyzing potential financing structures and escalating key transaction dynamics.
• Provide input on strategic investment decisions and assist in evaluating financing structures.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Educational Background: Honours degree in Finance or a related field.
• Experience within the African market is essential
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in Private Equity, Investment Banking (M&A, Corporate Finance, or Project Finance), a top auditing firm, Management Consulting, or similar environments.
• Financial Modelling: Proven ability to develop complex financial models with advanced Excel skills.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong command of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
• Analytical Skills: Demonstrated capacity for sound business judgment, problem-solving, and identifying financial inconsistencies.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
• Project and Process Management: Ability to plan and prioritize effectively.
• Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial orientation and attention to detail.
• Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
