Role Overview

We are seeking Investment Analysts to support IFC's investment officers in designing, negotiating, structuring, and supervising investment projects in the European emerging markets, including Austria, Poland, and Georgia. The role involves identifying new projects, assisting in deal execution, advising on restructuring, and utilizing financial instruments.

Responsibilities

1. Build and maintain financial models and projections.
2. Analyze financial statements and prepare reports on financial health and viability.
3. Monitor operational and financial performance of client companies and prepare portfolio reports.
4. Conduct industry and market research to support business development.
5. Prepare presentations and documentation for internal and external communication.
6. Maintain high-quality relationships with clients and stakeholders.
7. Assess business opportunities and data needs for investment evaluation.
8. Extract lessons from previous investments to inform new transactions.
9. Participate in negotiations as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in a financial institution, especially in investment projects.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, including DCF and scenario analysis.
• Strong research, analytical, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to synthesize large amounts of information.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Understanding of how investments impact economic and social development.
• Motivated, ethical, and able to work in multicultural teams.
• Excellent English communication skills; additional regional languages are a plus.
