Job description

A financial advisory boutique specialized in renewable energies and the energy transition, with over 10 years of sector experience and 10 global offices across different markets.

They advise clients on strategic projects in equity (M&A, venture or growth capital) or debt (project finance, private placements, LBOs) transactions.

The Cape Town office, established 4 years ago, is currently working on several projects and covers the sub-Saharan region with support from additional Africa offices. With ambitious growth goals, the ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial and eager to establish a career in the fast-growing renewable energy sector.

In this role, you will report directly to the Southern Africa Managing Partner and collaborate closely with the African team on active advisory mandates across all phases.

You will have the opportunity to support a diverse, multicultural team executing mandates in M&A, Project Finance, or Strategic Advisory within the sub-Saharan Africa region.

Main Responsibilities include:
  1. Perform financial analysis of projects or companies.
  2. Assist in building financial models (Project Finance or M&A).
  3. Conduct due diligence on transactions.
Requirements:
  1. 1 to 3 years of experience within a corporate, advisory firm, or investment fund.
  2. Experience in infrastructure or project finance is a plus.
  3. Interest or knowledge of the renewable energy sector.
  4. Strong financial analysis skills, particularly in financial modeling.
  5. Legal right to work in the region; candidates must be South African or have appropriate work authorization.
