Job summary

Peoplefinder Career Placements is seeking an Inventory Planner to manage inbound supply through effective handling of supplier accounts and product ranges. The role focuses on data analysis, replenishment, forecasting, and system coordination to optimize ordering patterns and inventory levels.

The ideal candidate has a Matric with a Supply Chain qualification and at least 2 years in supply chain, with strong Excel and SAP skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Matric with a degree in Supply Chain or relevant qualification.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in supply chain.
• Excellent product knowledge.
• Excellent computer literacy (MS Office, especially Excel - Pivot Tables).
• SAP knowledge is essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Our client in the retail industry requires the service of an Inventory Planner to manage the inbound Supply Chain through effective management of supplier accounts and product ranges.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key performance areas:

• Data analysis and reporting
• Promotional planning and replenishment
• System coordination of supplier accounts to optimize the most profitable ordering patterns/frequency
• Item parameter setting and data analysis to enable optimal forecasting results
• Place supplier purchase orders to ensure achievement of inventory and service
• Project Management

Desired Experience & Qualification

The successful candidate must have:

• Matric with a degree in Supply Chain or relevant qualification
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in supply chain
• Excellent product knowledge
• Excellent Computer Literacy (MS Office - Especially Excel - Pivot Tables)
• SAP Knowledge is Essential
