M24 Logistics, a division of the Takealot Group, is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Inventory Manager to join our Cape Town-based team. We are a renowned e-commerce logistics partner specialising in B2B and B2C warehousing and fulfilment solutions to the local and African markets.

This position will report to the DC General Manager.

Role overview

In this pivotal role, you will oversee all outbound inventory operations, ensuring precision, operational excellence, and timely delivery of products to our valued customers. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency.

The requirements for the role are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related discipline
  • 5-8 years of progressive experience in outbound inventory management within the logistics sector
  • Demonstrated track record of process optimization and results-driven performance
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong business acumen
  • Outstanding leadership capabilities with proven team management experience
  • Superior organizational skills and creative problem-solving aptitude
  • Advanced proficiency with inventory management software and systems
  • Strong analytical mindset with expertise in data analysis and reporting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of inventory control methodologies, logistics operations, and supply chain best practices

Your responsibilities will include:

Strategically manage the complete outbound inventory lifecycle, guaranteeing precise and prompt dispatch of merchandise

Lead and develop a high-performing team of inventory specialists through mentorship, training initiatives, and regular performance feedback

Design and execute innovative strategies to enhance inventory management workflows, minimize errors, and boost operational efficiency

Foster cross-functional collaboration with procurement, warehousing, and transportation teams to ensure seamless end-to-end operations

Compile and analyze comprehensive inventory reports to deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations to leadership

Maintain strict adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and safety protocols

Leverage advanced inventory management technologies to effectively monitor and control inventory levels

Proactively identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and customer/supplier concerns with exceptional problem-solving skills
