Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Inventory Management Specialist to join our remote team. You will manage inventory levels across multiple distribution points, implement controls, forecast demand, and minimize carrying costs.

You will collaborate with procurement and logistics, utilize IMS and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), conduct cycle counts and audits, and maintain records while generating reports on stock levels, turnover, and costs. A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in inventory roles are required.

• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage inventory levels across all warehouse locations to ensure optimal stock availability.
• Implement and refine inventory control procedures, including cycle counting and physical inventories.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
• Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to optimize purchasing and replenishment strategies.
• Utilize Inventory Management Systems (IMS) and ERP software to track inventory movements and values.
• Identify and report on slow-moving or obsolete inventory and recommend disposition strategies.
• Develop and maintain accurate inventory records and documentation.
• Perform root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare regular reports on inventory performance, including stock levels, turnover rates, and carrying costs.
